John Hufnagel offered a little more insight into the condition of injured quarterback Drew Tate here today, but as is always the case with injuries, nothing was cut and dry.

Tate had an MRI on Tuesday on his dislocated left (non-throwing) shoulder and the preliminary results indicate that nothing much has changed from the initial diagnosis of a dislocation, but another doctor will examine the results to deliver a more definitive verdict.

But from what Hufnagel was saying on Wednesday, a five-to-six-week absence seems likely, which is right around what he went through last year when he suffered the same injury in the pre-season.

As for coverage linebacker Demetrice Morley, his own MRI showed nothing alarming, and he’ll be a week-to-week proposition with a different kind of shoulder injury, more along the lines of a strain than a dislocation.

In terms of the lineup the Stamps will throw at the Montreal Alouettes tomorrow night, there were no last-minute changeups from what we’ve been reporting all week. On offence, Jabari Arthur in, Chris Bauman out at slotback; Jon Gott in, Mark Dewit out at centre; Na’Shan Goddard in, Edwin Harrison out (Goddard goes to right tackle, Stanley Bryant moves from right tackle to the left side to replace Harrison); and, oh yeah, Kevin Glenn in, Tate out at quarterback.
