So a 2 point win, 3 points difference over the 2 games.

Kevin Glenn was 19 of 30 passing for 254 yards with a TD but 2 glaring INTs in the endzone.

Cornish had a monster game of course and finished with 185 yards and the winning TD.

No receivers over 100 yards and only 3 catches for Nik.

Juwan Simpson finished with 9 tackles.

Only 2 sacks on Kerry Joseph.

    What's your thoughts?

Given the absolute fluke of an Eskimos score at the end of the first half, I thought the finale with Shaw's gaffe off the post was poetic justice! ;)

Grant Shaw's stupid trash talking after the fluke TD at the end of the second quarter came back to bite him - good.

A FG that hits the upright isn't really a gaffe is it? I mean had he put it into the OL or had it swing wild to the right or left I'd take it but it hit the upright dead on. An inch to the left and it would've spun through the uprights and counted.

Are those Cornish's rushing stats? if so, wow. Even if they aren't that is still a "wow" game.

Cornish was 16 carries for 185 yards. It was 14 carries for 188 before a couple of late stops.

Both times Glenn was picked was on almost the exact same play.

Overall it was a pretty solid game effort with a very, very fortunate outcome.

For Calgary, Bryant with 5 for 96, Forzani 3 for 56, McDaniel 4 for 46, Lewis with 3 for 15 (next game, Nik ;)), and Cornish with 1 catch for a loss of 3.

For the Eskimos, it was Henry with 6 for 89, Stamps with 6 for 54, Koch with 4 for 54, Chambers with 4 for 44, Coehoorn with 3 for 21, Charles with 3 for 10, Sharun with 1 for 35 (fluke! :p), and Boyd with 1 for a 3 yard gain...

Call it whatever you want...his foot kicked it and it hit the goalpost...probably couldn't replicate it if he tried to hit it if he kicked it a hundred more times.

I guess it was just a good play gone wrong, right?

Well it had the distance didn't it? Seriously kicking a ball is NOTHING like throwing a ball. The level of control you have with an oddly shaped oval ball by striking it with your foot isn't exactly what you'd call complete.

A missed hold is a gaffe. A bad snap is a gaffe. A kick that doesn't have distance when they are within actual range is a gaffe.

You know the same could be said about the first Thompson INT. It was a play where the ball was placed in a good spot for the receiver, the receiver (Forzani) got both hands on it, but in the end the ball ended up in Thompson's hands. Good play gone wrong.

It's football. It's 150 plays over 60 minutes. One play does not make a game. So go ahead and roll your eyes but it's crap to place it all on the foot of Shaw.

Call it whatever you want...he MISSED the kick that he's paid to kick from a makeable distance!

    What do you want?

Not to step into an argument that I can watch from my couch but to put a spin on this....the 50/50 at Commonwealth was over $108,000. Probably more than Grant makes for the year.

I'll let that remark go only because I know Rids brought you on board here.

That constitutes a 'personal' attack, and it won't be tolerated.

Don't make that mistake with me again.

I didn't say you were dumb. I said that I thought your reference to it as a gaffe was dumb. No need to be sensitive over it.
