The Stampeders have added three players to their rookie-camp roster including international quarterback Ricky Stanzi and international running backs Jacobi Green and Terry Williams.
Ricky Stanzi, #12 (The wisdom of signing a 30 yr old QB Ricky Stanzi with zero CFL experience???)

    College: Iowa
    Height: 6-foot-4
    Weight: 228 lb.
    Born: Sept. 3, 1987

Stanzi was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round (135th overall) of the 2011 National Football League draft. After two seasons with the Chiefs, he was claimed on waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has also spent time with the Houston Texans, New York Giants, Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns. Before turning pro, Stanzi attended the University of Iowa. During his career with the Hawkeyes, he completed 542 of 907 passes for 7,377 yards, 56 touchdowns and 31 interceptions and also scored two rushing touchdowns. He posted a 26-9 record as Iowa’s starter. During his senior season, he passed for 3,004 yards and 25 touchdowns with just six interceptions. In 2006, Stanzi’s redshirt season, the Hawkeyes’ starting quarterback was former Stampeder Drew Tate.

    Jacobi Green, #3
    Running back
    College: Richmond
    Height: 5-foot-9
    Weight: 204 lb.
    Born: May 7, 1993

Green attended tryout camps with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers in 2016. As a college senior with Richmond in 2015, he earned first-team all-Colonial Athletic Association honours by racking up 1,595 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns in 14 games and adding 28 catches for 359 yards and one major. Over the course of his career with the Spiders, he had 2,969 yards and 28 touchdowns on the ground to go along with 70 catches for 704 yards and six scores and 31 kickoff returns for 637 yards.

    Terry Williams, #38
    Running back
    College: Kutztown
    Height: 5-foot-10
    Weight: 203 lb.
    Born: March 11, 1992

Williams was signed as an undrafted free agent by the NFL New York Jets on Aug. 3, 2016. He also attended rookie mini-camp with the New York Giants in 2016. In college, Williams was a two-time second-team all-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference all-star in both of his seasons (2014 and 2015) at Kutztown University. In 2015, he rushed for 817 yards and 13 touchdowns while adding five catches for 68 yards and a major. His 98-yard run in an Oct. 24 game against East Stroudsburg set a school record for longest rushing touchdown. In 2014, he rushed for 725 yards and nine touchdowns.

In another transaction, the Stamps have released international quarterback Nick Arbuckle.
