I'll raise the gavel, and bring it down on the side of....total cool!
I saw no civil rights violations of any consequence during the making of this Alberta-filmed video...which is apparently now going viral...
Nice find, SR!
The RCMP officer is trying to get along with the campers by showing cops are real people too, if you know what I mean. Trying to gain their trust so if there's a problem, the campers know him & would probably be more willing to comply if there was a problem. Not just walking by law breaking ticket writers. I sure hope the officer didn't get in any trouble with his superiors over this. What he did was a good thing. I think we all know he wouldn't be jamming with these guys if he suspected any alcohol or drug abuse or if it was past 10 pm. Nice vid, the man can play!
You can't buy positive public relations like this!
If the RCMP was ever looking for a boost to its image after the events of recent years, they couldn't have found a better goodwill ambassador than Constable Doug Solokoski of the Pincher Creek detachment...
The video has indeed gone viral with over 245,000 hits since Monday when it was first posted.
He's done national television television interviews, and is no doubt been readying himself for the inevitable invitations to appear on Letterman and Leno...
This guy exactly fits the image the police are looking for.
Some bureaucrat in Ottawa will no doubt go "tsk, tsK". You watch.
I'm still watchin', iso...
So far, nothin'.
No negative reaction.
Won't be, either.
Not in the current environment surrounding the RCMP, with the image problems they have.
As I said, you couldn't buy that kind of "positive press"!
Sometimes "good" news is just that...
Glad to see nothing happened to him. Seems like a good guy. Until the wrong guy messes with him, no doubt.
