    Manitoba at Montreal

    Mount Allison at McMaster

    who will it be?

Maciocia stated that even he should win the cup he is not interested in returning to the pros but in making the carabins program an elite one in canada and hopes tomake the quebec football division more competitive and not just a one-horse race each year.

A battle between two strong defences Saturday should make for a low scoring affair. Interesting that both teams were in the same conference at one time in the 60s without playing each other.

McMaster in their 4th Vanier at 1-2 while Montreal will be their very first.

Michael Soles to be honored as co-president of the event.

    McMaster 6 Montreal 3!

    It's a kickers paradise.

McMaster goes 75 yards in 4 plays for the TD!!! Up 13-3 now in the pro-Montreal crowd.

Sounds like there was a lot of shenanigans this week between the two teams and things like the field not getting cleared for the McMaster practice.

Montreal trying to kill the clock and take a time count penalty.

Halftime at the Vanier and it's McMaster 13 Montreal 3.

McMaster turns the ball over for the 3rd time and it's Montreal driving down to the endzone.

Inside the 10 now. Radio guys are questioning a couple of the ref decisions on this drive.

Montreal scores! McMaster 13 Montreal 10.

McMaster QB Ferguson throws and hits the upright. Settle for the FG and it's:

    McMaster 19 Montreal 10.

Montreal goes through the air with a 33 yard gain down to the Mac 4. Then punches it in for the TD.

    McMaster 19 Montreal 17

10 minutes to go in 4Q

Montreal moving the football. 5 and a half minutes to go!

Down to the 11 yard line. It's a 2 point game

Montreal gets to the 6 but no further. Bringing on the FG team. 3 minutes to go.

The kick is good and with 2:45 to go it's the first lead of the game for the Carabins.

    Montreal 20 McMaster 19

According to some on the dot org site, they watched the final kick in slow motion and Tyler shanked it

What a game ..... Sad loss for Mac ( my favourite to win) but good first ever win for Montreal. It was a well fought battle and fun game to watch. Apparently 22500 in attendance. The crowd went nuts when the Carabins won. Good for CIS football. Hope many were watching on TV. It will be interesting to see the TV numbers. .....can we get more than The Raptors?

    22,649 the total attendance

Maciocia the first HC to ever win both the Grey and the Vanier with the usual flair for the dramatic.

The knock on Tyler is that he kicks too low on FG attempts and not just on the long ones. Needs more elevation to move to the next level.

He was still just one kick away from tying a Vanier cup record.

It just adds to Montreal's hollywoodian Script

    Dunsmore: Missed FG wins

    Uteck: QB fumble wins

    Vanier: Blocked FG wins

    Destiny man.
