Vote here! Canadian of the Year
Tough choice here with Cornish and Harris looking like the two best running backs in the CFL this year. One leads the league in rushing (Cornish), the other in yards from scrimmage (Harris). I guess you can't go wrong with either one, but if Cornish breaks a half century old record I think it's safe to say he'll get the nod. If not, it'll be close.
Of course keep in mind that Harris has already broken a 45 year old record for non-import yards from scrimmage.
Former Stampeder Greg Frers says that Andrew Harris deserves the nod for Most Outstanding Canadian. Interesting read:

Harris will win the C of the Year but Cornish could still contend for MOP....
Wonder if thats ever happened?
Guy becomes MOP but can't win the Canadian award?
Oh, but that record 45 years ago was set in only a 16 game season...
Surely Wally would want an asterisk beside Harris's name if he had been the nominee...
And Moonnish needed 18 games to break a 15 game record.
I guess you missed the irony of my reply, huh?
It was prompted by Buono's remarks about Cornish on precisely that subject.
Which we discussed at length on several threads here last week.
It's a shame you don't come around here often enough to fully appreciate what's really being said, piz.
well if Frers was wrong about that, gives calgary and edmonton hope.
