4 teams left. 2 Original 6 and 2 1967 Expansion teams. Who makes it happen?
LA appears to be in over their head against Chicago, should be a short series there.
As much as I was part of the "Win it for Iggy" crowd 2 days after he was traded, now all I want the Flames' pick to be as high as possible - so, Go Bruins!
I hope Sutter can get the Kings turned around back in LA, but Chicago definitely looks to be on a mission right now.
I am also in the 'highest possible draft pick' camp, and for that reason not only want to see the Bruins take out Pittsburgh, but I am also pulling for the Kings so the Hawks can join 'em on the sidelines.
If that happens, the Penguins pick slides down to 27th overall, which for me overrides the entirely sentimental wish to see Iggy succeed.
Iginla's clearly moved on as a player, and the Flames franchise has to do the same. That means maximizing the return received on the trade for the former 'face of the franchise', and to do that, the Penguins need to be put on ice.
I guess after the shelling you guys just got in your own barn tonight, you shoulda picked the Broons, eh, Iggy?
And Go Flames! Drive for the 27th!
What a shelling the Pens took last night. 6 goals and it could've been a dozen!
And Iggy goes down...again.
The Pitt pick is now 28th.
But unless LA recovers, it won't get any better...
Halfway to the truth. Tonight might just seal our fates.
I wouldn't mind seeing Iggy with the Cup but not broken up the Pens lost.
Well all 4 votes were the right one.
Looking forward to this Final! Original 6 (not actually just urban legend....) for the first time since 1979. Rids wasn't an expert back then just a young pup.
Gotta love original six Stanley Cups.
Good for the players too, who won't have to take long continental red eye flights. (e.g. Boston vs LA).
