seeing as Iso, Jayman and bronko cheer for them and the habs are facing them tuesday night. Might as well follow them all season right here.

Big win over the suddenly lowly pens 4-2.

Now Jayman, Kane just signed a long term contract & is probably the most gifted player on the team. He can be flaky like most 22 year olds can be nowadays but he ain't goin' nowhere.

Crosby walked from his hotel to his pregame skate at the MTS Centre in minus 30 temps just to get a feel for the cold as he said. Bad move, Crosby froze his nuts off. The cold is the Jets best friend. It makes cowards of all those soft NHL players in the US. ;)
    Thanks for the thread, deuvy!!

ISO, Chipman has invested heavily in a classy rep. It started with Birchwood Motors, Then Megil, National Leasing, etc. The old man eats at the Sals.
Kane is a great player, on and off the ice. But he's not Chipman's style. It won't be today, but someone's going to agree to pay thru the nose for a talented, long termed young goal scorer and Chipman will "trade up". The trade will provide more young talent, probably saskatchewan farm boys, and lower the cost of biz.
Within this season is my bet.

Ah, but you see that's the beauty of the cold. It may have inspired Crosby but it made cowards of the rest of the Penguins. Shame on them for not living up to their nicknames. :p

LOL Jayman. Unlike the Bombers, the Jets make money so we will see.

All I know is that Jets backup goalie Al Montoya beat his old team (Islanders) today. The Jets backup goalie can win games for them. That needs to happen with the Flames.

Obviously the Jets are on a tear and causing carnage thruout the league.

So much better run, managed and coached than the Bombers, its sickening.

THey have Chipman, Craig Heisinger, Kevin Cheveldayoof, Claude Noel, Perry Pearn

We've had Lyle, Barf Buchko, Ken Hildahl, Osamma Ben Mohammed, Plop, Ross Hodgkinson, Boo Boo Burke, etc.

Only similarity, no championships for either last 23 years, going into a 1/4 centurry!!!

btw - agree with J-man on Kane. he's the Money Gayweather of Manitoba. He would love to showcase his wares and test the night-life in places like LA, Toronto, New York, even Chicago or Miami but he's stuck on an Arctic Air flight!

    RE: The Winnipeg Jets thread

The problem with Kane, for The Jets, is teams like LA, Florida, NY and Chicago would love to trade for him but they know that if they traded him out of Winnipeg, just imagine the trouble he could get into in a City that isn't 45 below and has serious night life?
Try walking out of a Club in Chicago and leaving a 300 plus bar tab open?
Kane on the loose in LA? Those 30 goals would evaporate in a flurry of "Lohans".

So Chipper's got to hope Oli rides him hard and keeps the blinders on him on the road. Lets see if the next few nights in high class hotels in Montreal (home of "Le Club Super Sex") and Florida (starts with "F") has the talent scoring on the ice??

Did you catch the stare on Oli when Kane celebrated his OT winner? Ouch.
