Will Rogers,would be 140 today, but he died too soon in a plane crash. The son of Cherokee and Caucasian parents,he went to South Africa to break horses for the British army in the Boer war. By the time he got there the war was over. Upon returning to the U.S he became a cowboy,poet ,philosopher,magazine editor, humorist,social commentator. He left behind a treasure trove of writings,articles and one liners. My favorite is “ common sense ain’t so common anymore” RIP Will you will be missed.
